What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s government-funded support system for people living with permanent and significant disabilities.
It is designed to help participants achieve their goals, improve independence and enhance their overall quality of life.
Who is eligible?
To access the NDIS, individuals must:
✅ Be aged between 9 and 65
✅ Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Special Category Visa holder
✅ Have a permanent disability that significantly impacts daily life
What support does the NDIS provide?
NDIS funding can cover a range of services and supports, including:
Daily Living Support
Transport
Therapeutic supports (e.g. occupational therapy, speech therapy)
Assistive technology
Behaviour Support
Support coordination
Employment assistance
Home modifications
Social and community participation
How does the NDIS work?
Each participant receives a personalised plan based on their needs and goals. This plan outlines the funding available and the types of support that can be accessed.
Our Role at Assist Disability Support
We work alongside participants, families and key support members to help participants navigate the NDIS with confidence.
We offer:

🟣 Daily Living Support with BSP-trained Support Workers
🟣 Support Coordination
🟣 Multilingual Support (English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Italian)
We also help individuals apply for the NDIS or request additional funding when needed, especially for services like Behaviour Support.
